Rosalinde
She is the owner of Villa La Gioiosa She bought La Gioiosa in 2018 and has restored it. It was a dream of hers to share with others this beautiful piece of paradise.
Although you will not meet her, you will recognize her touch in the villa. Her professional career is in sustainable innovation and she used this knowledge to make the villa very environmentally friendly.
Her focus on sustainability can also be seen in the respect for planet and people in everything La Gioiosa stands for. Next to that, Rosalinde published ‘The Langhe in 7 days’, a guide to explore the different parts of the Langhe. The book is available in Italian, English and Dutch.
Alessandra
She is the manager of Villa La Gioiosa. With her studies in foreign languages applied to tourism, her fluency in 4 languages and her elaborate experience in hospitality in 5 star resorts in Italy and abroad, she is the best person to take care of your stay.
Her welcoming and warm character will make you feel at home and cared for since the first moment.
You can directly address her to book your experiences at home and in the area. She will meticulously organize your holiday, since your booking till your departure.

On which values do we base our job?
Authenticity
Authenticity for us is about our bond with, and respect for, ‘our’ territory.
We value local traditions and we do our best to contribute to them. That’s why our house is traditional, unique and local, fitting within the colours and tradition of the Langhe hills.
We work with our friends and neighbours, and we jointly carry the traditions forward. Our aim is to give our guests a unique insider’s view into the ‘real’ local life, food and culture.
Sustainability
La Gioiosa is heated by the sun: we produce warm water with solar panels and use heat pumps to heat and cool the house.
We use a septic tank and compost our organic waste. Together with our guests we separate all waste, so that they can be recycled and given a second life. We refill our soap bottles to reduce plastic wastes.
This is the effort we make to help the planet and we ask our guests to support this through practical actions. We believe we can make it, all together!
Honesty
Honesty and fairness are basic values for us. We are not here to profit from others, but to share: with the local people and with you, our guests.
Our aim is to provide the best experiences for a fair price. Next to that, we are clear about what we offer to assure a worriless experience.
With clear expectations and trust, everyone can feel relaxed and fully enjoy each other’s company in an atmosphere of openness, care and mutual respect.

Being Local
At La Gioiosa, everything is local, from the cleaning staff, to the food you eat and the wine you drink.
The grapes are literally growing on the hills surrounding us. We buy as much as we can from nearby so that we form a local community all together.
Staying at La Gioiosa will make you feel immersed in this community. Eat and drink with the neighbours, go for a truffle hunt in our forest, taste the home-made products.
Here you still find the truly local communities that made Italy’s culinary tradition the greatest in the world.
