Ceresole d’Alba hosts “Abitare il Piemontese,” a free public talk with actor and author Paolo Tibaldi dedicated to the Piedmontese language and the bond between territory, memory, and community.
Through stories and anecdotes, Tibaldi takes the audience on a journey through the Piedmontese language, the territory, and food in rural culture.
The narrative weaves together memory, identity, and culture, drawing inspiration also from Ceresole d’Alba and its local products.
The talk is born from the project “Abitare il Piemontese”, started in 2015 and published for years in Gazzetta d’Alba, which has now taken the form of a book.
The volume collects the entries from nine years of the column, built around a view of the world that starts with education, thought, work, feeling, and nourishment, arriving only at the end at the spoken word.
The editing of the texts was carried out with the support of Prof. Corrado Marengo.
A project born to tell the story of Ceresole d’Alba through what makes it unique: the landscape of its fishponds, the tradition of aquaculture, the memory of the Battle of 1544, and the area’s food excellences, foremost among them the Tinca di Ceresole d’Alba.
Rabasté is part of the project “The Tinca di Ceresole d’Alba: strengthening the competitiveness and enhancement of the local traditional aquaculture supply chain”, promoted by the Municipality of Ceresole d’Alba as part of the FEAMPA 2021-2027 Programme with the support of the Piedmont Region.
Coordination and territorial promotion are curated by Turismo in Langa APS, while the photographic research is by Paesaggisensibili (Alessandro Guida and Viviana Rubbo).
During the afternoon there will also be a talk by Paesaggisensibili, who will present the photographic exhibition on display in the MuBatt multipurpose hall, dedicated to the landscape of Ceresole d’Alba’s fishponds.
