The large kitchen is situated on the ground floor of the large house, strategically connecting the in- and outdoors.
The kitchen is equipped for large groups, with double induction stoves, sinks and dish-washers, a professional oven and a large American fridge-freezer with an ice-maker.
The antique furniture and the original stone walls make the room unique. Meals can be prepared here and served in the traditional indoor dining room, or on the patio outside.

Stone charm and quietness
Relax the way you prefer: with a massage, by doing yoga or drinking a glass of wine
The ample communal room next to the kitchen was born as a meditation space, for yoga and relaxation.
Because of its dim and soft atmosphere it is also used as the massage area, but according to the guests’ needs it can host dinners and other activities, such as workshops and tastings.

The wood
Into the wild
Go explore our wood
If you like to discover the beauty of nature, take a nice walk into the wood bordering the house.
It belongs to us and it will amaze you with its biodiversity.
A lot of wild animals populate it, from deer to wild boars, foxes and dormice, hares and badgers, and many bird species.
Just walk down the path starting from our house and enjoy the exploration, or take the Wolf’s path for a great walk exploring the hills and the countryside of Montelupo Albese.
The Vineyards
Surrounded by the vineyards
La Gioiosa is situated amongst the vineyards of our neighbours and friends.
You cannot only enjoy the views, but also taste their wines in the house, as we always keep a stock of their wines for you to enjoy. All producers have a beautiful story to discover!
Destefanis – La Ruota
The vines of Destefanis family grow on the slopes above La Gioiosa in the direction of their Agriturismo La Ruota. Giorgio, the farmer and winemaker, has taken over the tradition of the family and produces good wines such as Dolcetto, Barbera and Nebbiolo, but also wonderful grappa! These dear neighbours have also placed a yellow big bench up in their vineyard, overlooking the vines and the castle of Serralunga d’Alba. A great idea to share with other people the beauty of their hill. Go for a walk and marvel at the views!
Caviola – Ca’ Viola
Behind the house, along the road that takes to Montelupo, and towards South on the slopes beneath our house are the vineyards of the famous oenologist and winemaker Beppe Caviola. He was named “Winemaker of the Year” in 2002 by Gambero Rosso and Slow Food and he is considered one of the most important winemakers in Italy. His winery is established in Dogliani, but his roots are in Montelupo Albese. For this reason he has taken the wolf (Lupo) as the logo of his wines. You can find all the information about his wines on the winery website https://www.caviola.com/en/.
Sobrero
Along the road from the house that leads up to the village of Montelupo, you can see the vineyards of the Sobrero family. Historical family of Montelupo, they produce wine since generations. The winemaker Giorgio makes great wines, amongst which an excellent Dolcetto, that you will also find in house and that we highly suggest you to taste! They are well known for their welcoming attitude to their visitors and a lot appreciated for their generous wine tastings, paired with local cheese and salami, that usually steal the heart of all of our guests. A tasting appointment with them might develop into the chance to walk in their vineyards and get to know the wines really from their roots. An interesting fact about the Sobrero family is that the son, Matteo Sobrero, is a great well-known and international cyclist, winner of many stages in European cycling competitions, such as the Giro d’Italia. For bike and wine lovers, this is definitely an obligatory stop!
