Non-competitive food and wine walk of about 7 km through vineyards and woods above Gaminella hill, along the trails walked by Cesare Pavese.
7 tasting stops in farmhouses and among the vineyards.
Along the route, in addition to the farmhouses, there will be specially set up stop points.
At each stop, a different tasting dish with paired wine will be offered.
Departure is from Piazza Umberto I, then passing by the medieval tower of S. Stefano.
The first part is uphill on asphalt for about 600/700 m but suitable for everyone, then you enter the vineyards on dirt tracks.
Some climbs alternate with gentle slopes. You then reach the ridge of the hill above S. Stefano before heading down.
Clothing and footwear suitable for off-road terrain are required.
Please note that the route is hilly and the first part is uphill but accessible to everyone.
If you have strollers, it’s best if they are equipped for dirt paths, or have at least two people for the uphill dirt sections and some slightly more challenging passages.
In case of a forecast of severe bad weather that makes the walk unfeasible, or based on indications from the Civil Protection, it will be postponed and participants will be notified by email the day before.
