Under the stars among woods and vineyards

Hike through the vineyards where great Barolos are produced, followed by a visit to the historic center of Monforte: the Saracca

Few words can describe the beauty of the Monforte Langa landscape: from the high hills surrounding the village, the view opens up in all directions, your gaze gets lost embracing the hills embroidered by numerous rows of precious vines, small woods dot the rounded peaks; villages and castles color the slopes, and beyond the foothills, the Alps close the magic circle.

The route

The route winds along the hillside characterized by the presence of the oldest geological formations in the area: we are in the heart of the production of great Barolos; despite this, the landscape is varied, featuring hilltop woods home to downy oaks and Scots pines, sandstone walls, and steep vineyards.

The route will end with a visit to the historic center of Monforte: the Saracca.

It’s in the evening that the village offers a truly unmissable spectacle.

Terre Alte suggests: before the evening walk, we recommend an apericena at the bars and restaurants in the historic center.

Don’t drink too much that then you walk!
