Grand historical reenactment
The town center is transformed into an early eighteenth-century village for the historical reenactment with theatrical itinerary, ancient games and the Cisrà
On Sunday, September 13, the historic center of Narzole will be transformed into an early eighteenth-century village for the Grand Historical Reenactment, an event organized by the Narzole20 Cultural Association that will bring to life the atmosphere of 1702, the year of the inauguration of the Oratory of San Rocco.
The village streets will be animated by peasants, artisans, nobles and commoners in period costume, ready to welcome visitors on a journey rich in history, traditions and spectacle.
Scenes of daily life, ancient crafts, games of yesteryear and theatrical performances will accompany the public in discovering the atmospheres and customs of the past.
The day will also offer a journey into the flavors of tradition.
Lunch
From 12:30 PM the historic inn La Madonnina dei Briganti will offer a lunch with dishes inspired by eighteenth-century cuisine (reservation required at +39 0173 77019), while in the afternoon it will be possible to enjoy sweets, snacks and a good glass of wine.
Procession
The event will begin at 3:00 PM with the religious procession and historical parade from the Church of San Rocco.
Theater
From 3:30 PM it will be possible to follow a theatrical itinerary through the streets of the historic center, with settings dedicated to eighteenth-century life.
Music
Accompanying the route will be the Occitan music and dances of the historical group Balacanta.
Duels
This year, for the first time, the historical group A-STORIA from Savona will also be present, offering spectacular historical duels and moments of reenactment dedicated to the atmospheres of the past.
Cisrà
At 5:30 PM it will be possible to taste the Cisrà, the traditional chickpea soup of local tradition.
An event designed for the whole family, where history, culture, gastronomy and entertainment merge in an authentic experience in the heart of the Langhe.
